A robot rescues a human infant

http://io9.com/concept-art-writing-prompt-a-robot-rescues-a-human-inf-1457152211
The sound of whirring from rapidly moving servos and motors fill the air with the perfectly timed Ker-Chunks of metal feet against the hard cold stone of the earth. The sun's hard light bouncing off the glossy azure metal.

It wasn't long before that all was peaceful, the bustling of marketplaces and the sound of laborers hard at work yelling and barking orders at one another. But, swiftly and without warning they struck. Colossal metal objects raining from the sky, the sound of impacts and humming as the machines came to life, wearing the Dahridian coat of arms on the massive steel legs and standing many times higher than the buildings.
The machines stood unmoving while chaos swelled up in the streets below, steam hissing from the joints and seams of the man-made beasts. I was activated by a woman on the same day, a self conscious automaton originally made for house duty, but destined for so much more.
As my systems booted I was met with a fearful gaze from the woman, yet she spoke with a calm tone.
"Danny..." she said in a soft yet firm voice, "we need you to guide us through the city, u-u-using the tunnels"
"Scanning... Is there something wrong?" I answered in a concerned tone as I tilt my head to the side like a confused puppy.
"Yes Danny, but too much to speak about in a single sitting" she replied in an ever increasing worried tone.
A loud crash sounds overhead shaking the structure to and fro, causing a murmur in my joints as my still booting systems try to adjust to the shifting of the ground. "Scan complete, there are 132 exits found in the underground tunnel system, 73 collapsed and two nearby."
"How soon can we get there?" the woman said very rapidly
"Right now!" I replied as my hand folded into my arm to reveal a large warp blade.
I cut into the metal flooring to reveal a hidden entrance way, the woman's family lowered themselves down as I switched my welding blade back to a hand to lower myself.

The family and I were searching for hours, my scanners constantly running and re-adjusting to the dead ends and new openings.
Crashes and gunfire is heard above the labyrinth of tunnels and turns, caves and climbs.
We turned a corner to a very long, very wide cavern, my lights adjust to view whats ahead. A very low rumbling fills the cave and my sensors detect energy sources powering up, two large Daedalus class power cores, the type normally used in Dahridian boring machina.
Loud whooshing is heard from steam vents and the gargantuan drills come into view.
"Daniel!" the woman's husband yelled over the now roaring engines, "I want you to take Paul and run as fast as you can to Damascus!"
The woman turned to her spouse and glared at him.
"Merriam, we have no choice! It is the only way we can guarantee he gets there!"
Merriam turns to Paul, the squirming baby looking around oblivious to the machines in the background, Merriam reluctantly hands Paul to me, Paul's big bright green eyes staring back in amazement.
Merriam turns back to her husband, "I hope you know what you are doing, Aaron" She says with worry and fear.
Aaron turns to me as the monstrous machine crawls towards us at a pace slowly increasing speed.
"Daniel, run quickly now, we'll catch up!"
I ran as fast as the hydraulics and motors in my body would let me, Aaron an Merriam ran to the machines.

I finally reach the exit to the "Ratways", Paul in arm, My forward optics adjusting to the red tinted atmosphere and rear end LADAR gathering data.
The sound of crashes, gunfire, and screaming echo across the ruined landscape.
The baby coos and babbles unaware of the destruction.

Large steel servos and hissing steam sound off in the distance as two large cannons turn towards Paul and I.
The cannons are Marauder class, meant for taking out walkers and tanks, Power surges to the machinery in my legs and my feet split apart down the centre to reveal semi-circular "skates" as my fore and lower legs do the same to expose turbines.

Creeper Session

Well, I missed the class in which we "creeped" the halls for poor unsuspecting souls to whom we were to ,listen to. However, I did happen to have a friend explain what was done and did something similar elsewhere and at another time.

Over the weekend I finally got a chance to do this "Experiment" and Followed a couple in the Portage place mall, I eavesdropped on their conversation but lost track of time. The Man And his Interlocutor were both conversing on their work days... or nights, since they sounded like they work at night, conversing about their bosses and their co-workers laughing and giggling.
During the "investigation" I was having so much fun, as if I was detective Cole Phelps from the game L.A. Noire. During this ultra intrusive session of awesomness I did things that normally I would never think of doing.
A few times on their exploration they turned around to head a different direction and check a new store. When this happened I would dodge and head into the nearest corner to escape their gaze, once I said hello to a random group of people standing off to the side as if they were close relatives to ease the couple's suspicion (the group I greeted was confused but understanding when I explained). The couples conversations were all over the place, quickly switching between their kids, plans for later, work, and "squishy" talk normally said between young married couples.
If I was to apply only what I have learned from the conversation into my writing I would have a hard time keeping the reader interested or focused on the story due to its seeming randomness however I could use similar emotion, and personality in writing to describe a scene or a multiple character conversation.
From what I saw and personal experience in conversing, regardless of the personality there is "Switch-back" between the interlocutors, quickly "switching back" and forth from topic to topic.
I would have to say this "mission" was a success!

Quickwrite - Three people personality

If I had my personality split into three people you would first find out about the kind loving old man who does his best to help people in anyway he can, a man who follows but one rule, A.R.K., ACTS of RANDOM KINDNESS.
The second man would be a crazed young man, prone to violence and random sprees of psychopathic and/or Sociopathic tendencies, who lashes out at all around.
And thirdly a soft spoken, quiet, and timid young boy that sit in the corner and avoids eye contact depressed and alone, rejected, twiddling his thumbs while tears flood his cold blue eyes.

Quickwrite - Halloween

That wretched day has begun again, where humans slaughter us by the trillions, and I'm next out! I along with thousands of unwilling souls travel the world in order to feed their insatiable appetite for destruction. The "chocolates" head out, preparing the next wave for battle in the hopes of some unlucky giant eating too many of us and getting a stomach-ache. The battle was long and milky, many candies lay on the ground, half-eaten with their puddings spilt across the ground. My pal Coco, nicknamed bounty, and I survived, able to wriggle to the bottom of the bowl. "To be thrown out" the humans said, we were the lucky ones to finally head back to our origin and continue our circle of life!

Quickwrite - Minions

If I had minions for a week I would put them to work to create a fully functional Fire-bat suit for me to use and get them to create a cloning machine that is perfect in cloning and clone one of them, lock him/her away, then when the week is over take him/her out and continuously clone them while we create an underground city complete with buildings that are reminiscent of Star-craft, then use them to create machinery to sell and improve life topside!

Starcraft 2: Wings of Liberty (WoL), Starcraft 2: Heart of The Swarm (HotS), and soon to be Starcraft 2: Legacy of the void (LotV, originally Prophecy of the void -changed due to the public dislike of the word prophecy because it sounded religious -AND THATS EXACTLY THE POINT OF IT!!!- PotV) is my favourite RTS-Real-Time-Strategy- trilogy!

The mechanics of the game are vast and yet easy to handle, the graphics are stunning, the story is really well thought out, and actions that are made within one part of the game's story affects the other (ex: I chose to save Tosh instead of choosing Nova in wings of liberty and it affected my heart of the swarm dialogue and storyline as upon finding Jim Raynor -the main character for Wings of Liberty- takes him hostage and executes him on Tarsonis -the Dominions home-planet- *spoiler alert: they don't actually execute him!*).

In the game series so far I have finished Wings of liberty and saved Kerrigan, am Currently playing as Kerrigan in Heart of the swarm, and have just started the Swarm Host evolution mission

MAIN CAMPAIGN CHARACTERS
Captain Jim Raynor is one of three main character in the game Starcraft.
designed by Chris Metzen, James Phinney and voiced by Voice actor Robert Clotworthy Raynor is the protagonist in Starcraft 2: WoL and is based on a character with the same name from the 1991 film Rush.
Aside from James "Jim" Eugene Raynor's laid back character and sarcastic sense of humor he is described as a true hero, an honorable man and a decent human being.

in the 1998 game Starcraft 64 James is first seen trying to protect a colony on the fringe planet Mar Sara (pronounced: m-are s-are-ah) from an advancing apocalyptic infestation force known as the Zerg. As Raynor battles the Zerg to the best of his abilities the marshal soon finds out that he has been abandoned by the confederacy, the governing and promised protector of  the terran race, to oblivion only to to saved by The Sons of Korhal (pronounced: core-hall), a rebel force that saves him and the colony from utter destruction.

Completely and thoroughly disgusted with the confederacy Raynor and his militia join up with the Sons of Korhal lead by Arcturus Mengsk.
While with the Sons of Korhal Jim meets a terran ghost (Ghost, the name and profession given to gifted snipers with psionic abilities) named Sarah Louise Kerrigan, Mengsk's second in command, who he falls in love with.

In a nasty turn of events Mensk Betrays his second in command by planting a device known as a psi emitter on the planet where she is stationed to lure the zerg to the Terran owned, but Protoss occupied planet Tarsonis (pronounced: Tar-sone-iss) abhorring and appalled by Mengsk's decision Jim Raynor deserts the Sons of Korhal Hijacking the ship and crew on the Hyperion, Mengsk's flagship.

After the defeat of the Terran confederacy Arcturus Mengsk crowned himself emperor of the newly formed Terran dominion, a government equally corrupt as its predecessor. Sickened by Mengsk Raynor forms a new rebel group calling themselves the Raynor's Raiders. Plagued by low morale and smashed by the propaganda being unloaded by Mengsk Raynor fights back against new Terran dominion.

Leader of the Zerg swarm.

Kerrigan is also created by Chris Metzen and James Phinney and voiced by Glynnis Talken for the starcraft 64 and the starcraft 64 pc remaster series and Tricia Helfer who voiced her for the starcraft WoL, HotS and to possibly voice for LotV.
Kerrigans human features as well as a bit of her infested features where influenced by Samwise Didier and Glen Rane as well as greek mythology.
Sarah Loise Kerrigan is first seen in the game Starcraft 64 when James Eugene Raynor joins up with the Sons of Korhal who she later falls in love with.

During the Brood war -a war against Zerg- She attends a mission to destroy the planet Tarsonis by planting a psi emitter to lure the Zerg. Unaware of a Protoss occupancy Sarah finds herself abandoned by the Sons of Korhal and with no choice but to rely on the Protoss' help, but to no avail, she is captured by the Zerg and mutated by the transplant of Zerg DNA from the Overmind into the Queen of Blades!

Zeratul, a 635 year old Protoss born in 1865 he holds the rank Prelate and is a member of the Nerazim
(Dark Templar).
Zeratul is a "dark warrior who champions the light", he has a strong hatred toward the Protoss conclave who banished his people to the darkened void-world Shakuras, But put his hatred to the side during the brood war and proffered a helping hand to the Khala following Protoss who recently lost their homeworld Aiur to the Zerg.

Zeratul is seen as "a dark and tragic character, having carried many terrible personal burdens." (Zeratul is unintentionally the destroyer of the Protoss homeworld Aiur--After killing the Zerg cerabrate Zasz he linked with the Overmind's mind unwittingly and learned many things but at the same time the Overmind stole the location of Aiur.--Later in the game he unknowingly is manipulated and lured into being forced to dishonour himself by killing the Protoss Matriarch Raszagal creating a strong sense of lost and guilt in him even though she thanked him. [Raszagal before her death was under the mind control of the Queen of Blades, Raszagal is a young Protoss Dark Templar female who defied the Khala -a psionic bond between Protoss-])

English quick-write #2 - Most terrifying evil fictional species

I checked the writing prompts site to find this one and as soon as I saw it I immediately thought of Starcraft's Zerg faction. The Zerg are an alien insectiod race that "evolve" by consuming their enemies and gaining their "essence", they destroy everything in their path and infest everything until they are the only ones left.

There is a myriad of horrible creatures that if were suddenly turned real would cause devastation, horror, and a lot of people in "code brown!", take a look...
